To clip your pitbull's ears, you should be very prepared. It can only be done if your pet is at the right age to go through it. As this surgical procedure will lead to lots of pain for your pitbull, many people tend to disagree with it. Clipping of animal ears is actually considered as mutilation by some.
First thing is first, ask yourself why would you want to clip the ears of your pitbull? Is it because you want to let him participate in a dog show? You may think that engaging a psychologist's help would make it all go away. Sometimes it just doesn't for us. What makes it worse is that there are no shrink for dogs. This is just not possible in our time.
Then there are those who insist. If you are one of them, then please make sure your pitbull is of the right age. You are endangering the life of your pitbull by clipping its ears when it is too young or too old for it. If you are not an experienced vet, then never think about a DIY in this case as you do not know what you are doing. It is going to be a mess if you do so and most likely you may ending up causing the death of your pet. Instead seek the advice of a qualified veterinarian and ask if you should proceed with the ear clipping. Ask your vet, how old should a pitbull be to have its ears clipped? Getting the age wrong will most likely leave you with an unwanted incident.
